An update to how Azlan is doing: he is 'verrrry verrrry SICK" as Tirzah would say. He's on Tylenol with Codeine every 4 hours and needs it. When it wears off he's in a lot of pain. He's eating very little...his usual is 30-36oz of formula a day with 16oz of baby food. He had about 10oz of formula today and 2oz or so of yogurt. We are watching him for dehydration but are told this is normal as his mouth hurts too much to eat right now. He's not himself at all and spends all day either sleeping in bed or snuggled up on my shoulder, barely lifting his head.
He had a high fever last night when we got home of 103 and through the night we checked again at 4:30 when he woke crying and it was still around 102 despite the meds. We gave him more meds at 4:30 and when he woke at 9am it was down to about 101. His fever has since broke and he hasn't had it all afternoon.
Please pray for our little boy ... I can think of a hundred more comfortable places to have surgery than the roof of my mouth. He looks so sad. We go back to Children's in 2 wks for a post op check up.

oh,Dean,Janice,we have been thinking of you,now especially,but are always thinking of you and the 3 angels....our boy is a strong wee man,even tho it broke my heart to see him have to go thru this....I know he will bounce back and be the fine wee man that he always has been...and the two of you are sooo brave,I sooo admire that,so know that we luv you all VERY much and are thinking of you...Bless your hearts..luvs and hugs Auntie Deb and Uncle Kelly xoxoxoxoxoxoxo......p.s. thks for updating blog.....lol.....
